Xbox Game Pass gets a brilliant action game in this month's lineup
Xbox Game Pass is on banger duty this month, as two of my absolute favourite titles of the last five years are arriving in this month's offering.
We now know every game coming to Xbox Game Pass in March 2024 for the first half of this month, and it's almost like Microsoft is catering to me, and me alone, with the selections this month. One of the titles included in Xbox Game Pass' March 2024 offering is Suda 51's 2021 release No More Heroes 3. Those who know of Suda 51's back catalogue will know what to expect from this game, but for the uninitiated, No More Heroes follows the weaboo assassin, Travis Touchdown, as he tries to rise through the ranks and become the top-rated assassin in the world. For the third instalment, his assassination endeavours go starbound as he contends with a league of intergalactic alien assassins to become the greatest in the universe.
Meanwhile, Remedy Entertainment's 2019 game of the year winning hit, Control, arrives on Wednesday, March 13 with the ultimate edition joining Xbox Game Pass. Control is a supernatural-themed adventure game that has you harness psychic powers as you investigate the Federal Bureau of Control's HQ (who are a government agency tasked with investigating things that break the laws of reality). While Control is a part of the Remedy Shared Universe alongside Alan Wake, Control Ultimate Edition includes the AWE expansion which is a full crossover between the two series.

The following is the full list of Xbox Game Pass free games for the first March 2024 drop, as confirmed by Microsoft on the Xbox Wire blog:

FIFA 23 Title Update 7 fixes annoying FUT transfer market error improves corners
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated (console, PC, cloud) – March 12
Control Ultimate Edition (console, cloud, PC) – March 13
No More Heroes 3 (console, cloud, PC) – March 14
Lightyear Frontier ( Xbox Series X |S, cloud, PC) – March 19
MLB The Show 24 (console, cloud) – March 19
We also know about a couple more games set to arrive on Xbox Game Pass this month, which aren't a part of this batch.
Diablo 4 (console, PC) – March 28
Open Roads (console, PC, cloud) – March 28
Unlike PS Plus, these games don't have a specified time that they'll be available on Xbox Game Pass for, but most games typically stay on the service for about a year.
Games leaving Xbox Game Pass in March 2024
Microsoft has also confirmed a few games that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on Friday, March 15. These are as follows:

As always, you can pick up these games to keep at a discount of at least 20% if you're an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, so make sure to do so before March 15 if you want to play these games.
