Xbox Games with Gold March 2023: traverse eras in Truberbrook and more

Arriving from tomorrow onwards, Microsoft has revealed March 2023’s trio of free titles for Xbox Games with Gold subscribers.

Another month means another suite of Xbox Games with Gold titles for subscribers to soon grab, and March 2023’s lineup appears primed to let players traverse all kinds of historical eras. As per usual, all three Games with Gold additions will become available for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S players to download gradually throughout the month beginning March 1, 2023.

As revealed by Microsoft earlier today in the official Xbox Wire post, headlining this month’s selection is 1960s sci-fi mystery game Truberbrook. Originally released back in March 2019 and developed by btf Games, this point-and-click adventure title sets you off in a world that has been completely built and crafted by hand. The result is an experience that sees you wander through and explore a series of miniature-like sets, all as you get to the bottom of a mystery deep within this alternate version of the Cold War.

Next up, and also available to download on Wednesday, March 1, is Sudden Strike 4 – Complete Collection. As the title suggests this is a top-down RTS set during the Second World War, where players must command tanks and troops across a series of important battles from the conflict. Dunkirk, Finland, Africa and more all serve as backdrops, as do naval battles that take place in the Pacific Ocean. It’s the Complete Collection version, too, so all five previously released DLCs come included.

Finally, gothic-survival-game-coated-in-pixel-art Lamentum becomes available to download midway through the month on Thursday, March 16. You play as plucky aristocrat Victor Hartwell in New England during the mid-19th century, attempting to uncover a dark secret while trying to survive the various dangers of the night. Lamentum is highly inspired by classic survival horror titles like Resident Evil and Silent Hill with a Cthulhu twist thrown in.

Three new Games with Gold titles coming in March 2023 means that February 2023’s games will soon be leaving the service. There were only two to grab before. But even still, be sure to add them to your digital games library before they disappear forever.
