Xbox Game Pass September 2023 already has 5 brand new releases confirmed

Although we don't have the full Xbox Game Pass September 2023 lineup just yet, we know that five brand new releases will be hitting the service on their respective launch days.

September might be the best month yet for Xbox Game Pass subscribers with five brand new titles landing on the service. Only a handful of Xbox Game Pass September 2023 games have been confirmed so far, but it's already shaping up to be a stellar month already, so don't be surprised if you don't hear from friends on Microsoft's platform for the next few weeks.

The company has made a point of highlighting that Starfield will be included in the Xbox Game Pass when it launches on Wednesday, September 6. But you can dive into the game before that if you have a Starfield pre-order for the Digitial Premium Edition (or the upgrade available on the standard edition). If that's the case, Starfield early access starts on Friday, September 1.

Although Starfield is a current-gen title for Xbox Series X|S if you're still on the last console generation, you'll be glad to know that you can play Starfield on Xbox One through Xbox Cloud Streaming via Xbox Game Pass.

Another standout that will undoubtedly be a hit with Soulslike fans is Lies of P, which takes the Pinocchio tale and flips it on its head. Created by Geppetto (who's now MIA), this version of Pinocchio has to make his way through the city of Krat, which has been infected with madness and killer puppets, to find Gepetto and become a real boy. A demo for Lies of P is currently available on Xbox, PS5, and Steam, If you're a PC player. It won't be day one, coming to Xbox Game Pass on Tuesday, September 19 – three days post launch.

Payday 3, Party Animals, and Cocoon will all be day-one Xbox Game Pass titles coming next month. Party Animals is a multiplayer physicals-based brawler similar to Gangbeats, where you can battle your friends, making for a great party game. Cocoon, on the other hand, is a gorgeous adventure puzzle game so for those who want more of a The Legend of Zelda fix, this might be the game for you.

So far, the Xbox Game Pass September 2023 lineup is looking solid enough that it might finally silence gamers who have been moaning about the lack of any solid games on the service so far. Bear in mind that this isn't the full lineup for next month, with additional games set to be confirmed during the first week of September.
