Chris Kamara talks 'good and bad days' in health update after apraxia diagnosis

TV favourite Chris Kamara gave an update on his health battle on Good Morning Britain on Thursday, months on from him revealing his apraxia diagnosis.

The TV presenter and commentator joined his Ninja Warrior UK co-host Ben Shephard on the show, and discussed the "good days and bad days" since his speech apraxia diagnosis.

The neurological disorder causes people to struggle to perform movements and gestures on demand, despite being physically able to do so. Apraxia of Speech/Dyspraxia slows down the neurological pathways between the brain and the mouth.

The TV star had initially kept the news a secret, while the condition has affected his speech as well as his coordination and his muscles.

Kammy revealed the things he was currently looking into to see if he can improve his health, from different diets to vitamins.

Sharing all about how he is doing on GMB to Ben and his co-host Kate Garraway, Chris talked about the inflammation on his brain and his hopes to find a way to improve his condition.

He explained: "I'm okay. I've got inflammation on my brain so that’s the reason why I have good days and bad days.

"I was with Shep [Ben] yesterday. As I say, yesterday was a bad day. Today is better, so much better, so what I am doing is a gluten free diet, dairy free diet, I've been trying anything.

Kammy was on the show to discuss his latest campaign, that will see him petition for all terminally ill people to be able to access their state pension, regardless of their age.
