Phillip Schofield has slashed the cost of his £1.2million penthouse in a bid to be free of his former home it has been reported.

The disgraced former This Morning host, 61, has reduced the price of the luxury London pad that he purchased with wife Stephanie Davis in 2012 by £85,000.

The decision comes after Schofield and his estranged wife Stephanie, 59, had previously reduced the price of the two-bedroom property by £100,000 after listing it for the same price they bought it for.

The lavish home is near The London Studios, where This Morning was filmed before the daytime show moved to the Television Centre in White City in 2018, and has stunning views of The Shard.

It is also the location where Eammon Holmes claimed Schofield and his lover had 'secret meetings' in an attempt to hide his "unwise but not illegal" affair.

In an interview with Dan Wootton, the 63-year-old GB News presenter said: "Thursday was playtime when he and Phillip would hit the town and then he obviously stayed overnight. There are records to show that he was brought in the next day separately in cars paid for by ITV."

Phillip also owns a £2 million bachelor pad in Chiswick, with six bedrooms, a converted basement and a garden. He moved into the West London property after splitting from his wife Stephanie and coming out as gay in 2020.

Over the last few months, Phillip has remained out of the limelight after admitting to having an affair with a young colleague in May. The star has retreated to Cornwall in the wake of the scandal where he has been spending time with his mother.

At the time, he said: "Contrary to speculation, whilst I met the man when he was a teenager and was asked to help him to get into television, it was only after he started to work on the show that it became more than a just a friendship. That relationship was unwise, but not illegal. It is now over...

"I am resigning from ITV with immediate effect, expressing my immense gratitude to them for all the amazing opportunities that they have given me."

Stephen Mulhern has been roped in to replace Phillip Schofield as the Dancing on Ice co-host, alongside Holly Willoughby, The Mirror can reveal.

Mulhern, who is also fronting a reboot of Deal or No Deal for ITV, has been officially offered the role and is planning to accept, according to pals. The popular star, 46, is expected to be officially announced within days.

No permanent replacement has been given for Phil's coveted This Morning job, with a rotation of presenters said to be accompanying Holly Willoughby when she returns from her summer break.
