This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby weighed in on Molly-Mae Hague’s unusual baby name on Wednesday’s instalment of the ITV show.

The former Love Island star, 23, welcomed her baby girl with Tommy Fury, also 23, on January 23, but she didn't drop the highly-anticipated birth announcement until a week later.

Revealing the name of her daughter, Molly-Mae confessed that she and Tommy had called their baby girl Bambi.

Molly-Mae shared a photo of her newborn daughter laying in a see-through cot in her nursery, which had a neon sign with her name on. The newborn is also laying nearby a Bambi plush toy from the Disney movie, perhaps a nod to where Molly-Mae got the inspiration from.

This Morning ’s hosts Holly and Phillip discussed the unusual name choice on the ITV show, beginning with a congratulations to the Love Island stars.

Holly said: “Shall we firstly say congratulations to Molly-Mae. They brought a healthy life into this world.”

They then discussed unusual baby names as a whole with journalists Vanessa Feltz and Tom Swarbrick.

Phillip kicked off by asking: “Is it anyone’s business what you call your baby?” He then added: “If there was a child in school called ‘Salad Bowl’?”

Undeterred, Vanessa replied: “Then they would be known as Sally and nobody would care.”

Phillip said: “It could be anything. You could call your child anything you like,” before Holly insisted: “It’s your choice.”

Tom concluded: “People are going to judge, but people will judge about anything.”

The PrettyLittleThing creative director had previously confessed that people will either love or hate the name she had picked out for her first-born child, further admitting that she had the name saved since she was a little girl herself.

Molly-Mae always knew that she would call her daughter Bambi, despite the fact she knew a huge majority of her fanbase wouldn't be on board with it.

She previously said: "It's not made up, it's totally not made up, I can't explain it. It's just not a name that's ever been used before. It's very very different and rare and you're either going to love it or hate it.

"I've had the name picked out since I was a baby girl myself. It's always been a dream baby girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name I've always dreamt of using, he absolutely loved it too.

"It's a really really unusual and a different name, I do not know anybody else with the name. I've not seen any other girls with the name before, it's that different."
