Phillip Schofield explains decision to skip Alison Hammond's birthday party
Phillip Schofield has addressed the reason he was forced to miss Alison Hammond's joint birthday party with her son Aiden as the rest of the This Morning gang partied it up at the bash.
Beloved daytime TV presenter Alison threw the party as she turned 48 while her son celebrated his 18th.
A host of famous faces joined Alison and Aiden for the big bash including Holly Willoughby, Dermot O'Leary and Vanessa Feltz.
Phillip explained on Monday's This Morning why he was unable to join his co-star as he reflected on the pictures emerging from the night.
Speaking to co-host Holly, Phillip remarked: "Do you know what I'm loving?

"As a team here gradually stories bit by bit are leaking out over Alison Hammond's party on Saturday night."
Phillip Schofield explained why he was missing from Alison Hammond's birthday party (ITV)"Loads of the team here went," Phillip continued. "The photos are unbelievable and gradually bit by bit people are going, 'Oh god I did [do that] didn't I?'"
The This Morning host explained he missed Alison's gathering because it was his daughter Ruby's birthday.
"It was Ruby's birthday and she had a massive party, 15 members of the family," he said.

The presenter joked he had been asking himself "What the hell are they doing?" as he looked through photos from his co-host's party.
Alison gave her fans a glimpse of the star-studded bash by streaming the party on Instagram Live.

Ronnie Wood's wife Sally, Carol Vorderman and Gok Wan were also in attendance.

Holly shared a picture alongside Alison and Dermot of the trio enjoying themselves at the bash.
