Getaway travel chaos as flights are cancelled at Heathrow and delays on M25

Passengers face travel woes ahead of the weekend as flights have been cancelled at Heathrow Airport and an upcoming road closure on the M62.

British Airways has axed several flights today from Heathrow. Cancelled destinations include morning flights to Barcelona and Paris.

As for the roads, flooding has closed a lane on the M25 near Chertsey, Surrey, which is causing delays clockwise on the motorway. Motorists on the M62 were warned of upcoming weekend closures as a new £22m bridge is installed between Manchester and Leeds.
