1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has addressed concern over her using filters on her social media content, having shared her thoughts in a video message to her fans.

The reality TV star, 37 - who is best known for being on the TLC show with her sister Amy Slaton - regularly shares updates on platforms like TikTok. This has included her posting content featuring filters, like selfies and videos.

Some people have questioned her use of filters recently, prompting Tammy to address them on Instagram. She took to the platform on Friday with a video message, which had been captioned by her: "Over this stupid filter bull cr*p."

Tammy shared her thoughts in the video message to her followers on the platform earlier. She commented: "I keep seeing everybody say 'stop using filters, stop using filters'. Listen, I am not trying to be rude, but it's my profile."

"If I like using the filters, I will. And if you got a problem with it ...," Tammy continued, as she signalled a wave goodbye. She added: "Plain and simple [...] it's my profile. If you've got a problem with it ..." After waving again, she said: "Seriously."

The reality TV star - whose fans have been following her weight loss journey in recent years - shared confusion, saying: "Like, I don't get it. I am proud of myself. I continue to post and show off my hard work. So what I use a filter?"

The video concluded with Tammy suggesting that she has a few reasons for using filters on social media content. She appeared to tell fans in the clip: "I don't like the colorisation in my cheeks. All the spots from the sun, it's freckles."

The post has already amassed more than 20,000 likes on the platform since it was uploaded earlier. There are numerous responses in the comments section, with a number of her fans having expressed their support.

A few hours later, Tammy returned to the platform to post a video of herself singing along to Taylor Swift's song Shake It Off. She didn't share a caption alongside the clip, in which she was seen laughing while singing the chart-topping song.
