1000lb sisters' viewers have been left heartbroken after Amy Slaton announced a sad death in the family.

Fans of the US reality show, which airs on TLC, were told by Amy - sister of Tammy Slaton - that their dog, Little Bit, had tragically passed away.

The revelation came during episode four of the new series, when Tammy disclosed that their chihuahua had passed in April 2022 – almost a year from when the new episode finally aired.

The 35-year-old explained how she had picked up Little Bit from Granny’s house, but when she got her to the car, the pooch fell over and stopped breathing.

Sadly, Amy’s husband Michael Halterman was unable to wake her up.

Little Bit was such an integral part of the family that she even walked Amy down the aisle at her wedding.

So, it was only fitting that the family held a memorial service for the dog in a calm green space.

But the group wasn’t too impressed when one funeral attender said: “I ain’t never been to no damn dog funeral!”
