Angus Cloud described himself as a "regular dude" and said he felt "uncomfortable" with special treatment at the height of his fame, after being scouted for a role on Euphoria.

The late actor - who died earlier this week aged just 25 - rose to fame playing Fezco 'Fez' O'Neill on the acclaimed HBO series. He played the character in the first two seasons.

His performance as drug dealer Fez - who became a fan favourite on the show - brought Angus to prominence and he was a rising star. He's set to appear in upcoming projects like Freaky Tales and an untitled Universal Monsters film.

Angus spoke to The Face magazine last year about being a celebrity. The interview came amid the release of Euphoria's second season, which more heavily featured the character Fez and brought Angus more attention and prestige.

He told the outlet at the time that people now recognised him and said he found it "hella weird" that fans considered him a 'sex symbol'. Angus suggested that it was simply due to him being a celebrity.

Asked if he just wanted to be 'normal,' the actor agreed and said he didn't like "being special." Angus said he preferred "being regular" and didn't want special treatment, though commented that he was appreciative of his position.

He added: "It's getting to a point where I'm uncomfortable with special treatment." He described himself as "just a regular dude" and added: "I don't like the famous part, to be honest." Angus said that he didn't want to be a celebrity.

The actor - whose career since his debut on Euphoria has included roles in a few films and music videos - said that he wasn't keen on people recognising him. He however assured in the interview that he enjoyed interacting with his fans.

Angus also revealed that he hadn't planned to become an actor. He instead had wanted to "go with the flow," sharing at the time that his approach to life was to do whatever he felt like doing in the moment and whatever felt right.

He said that it was whilst working at a restaurant in New York City that he landed his breakthrough role, aged 18. Angus recalled walking down a street when he was approached by someone who invited him to a casting studio.

Discussing the experience, Angus said he accepted the offer and had a few auditions. The actor said he then "flew out to film the pilot in LA". He was subsequently a cast member in the first season, which premiered in 2019, before reprising his role in the second season which was broadcast last year.
