Euphoria star Angus Cloud was left 'traumatised' by father's death

Family friends have revealed that Angus Cloud was too 'grief stricken' after his father's death that he couldn't attend his ashes scattering ceremony in Ireland.

Conor Hickey, Angus' father, died after a short yet intense bout of cancer in May. Two months later, Angus, his mother Lisa, and twin sisters Molly and Fiona traveled to Conor's home country of Ireland to scatter his ashes at the 100-acre farm he still owned in Laurelstown, County Meath. However, it seems Angus didn't leave the hotel room as he was reportedly "in such a fragile state" that he couldn't bring himself to be there.

Close family friend, Mick Gleeson, said Angus "was just so traumatised that he could not attend. He was in a very bad way and in total shock." He went on to say: "He was like a rabbit caught in the headlights and was just unable to come to terms with his loss. I sat down with him and said he was now the man of the family, and he just could not handle it. He was a broken man."

Earlier this week, the 25-year-old actor was found dead in his California home by his mother, who called 911. His cause of death is not known at this time. Angus was best known for playing the big-hearted drug dealer Fezco O'Neill on HBO's Euphoria. Tributes have flooded in from his Euphoria castmates such as Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney.

His cousin, Gerald Hough, spoke to MailOnline, and said: "We are all deeply saddened at the loss of Angus, leaving behind so many broken hearted family and friends. He was such an immense talent and kindhearted soul he will be missed by all of us." Gerald also shared that Angus was "as Irish as you can get" and helped him shoot an ad for the pub he owned in Ireland.

Another family friend, Noel McLaughlin, told the publication that "Angus used to love coming back to County Meath with is father who made a point of returning every year." Noel also shared how distraught Angus seemed at the passing of his 65-year-old father.

"It is tragic what had happened, and Angus was very upset when he was here," Noel said, "it will be up to his mother where she decides his resting place will be." Friends and family don't think that Angus will have his ashes scattered in Ireland, or if they'd be scattered at all
