Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is surprise hit as Pooh & Piglet turn to murder
The Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey horror movie is the stuff of nightmares and was a huge hit with audiences.
The spooky children's character-turned-murderer narrative was an eccentric idea that was transformed into reality with a budget of less than $100,000 (£82,800).
After the first four days of the film's release in the US and Mexico, the movie managed to earn $2.5million (£2.07mi).
It's no surprise that people paid money to see Blood and Honey considering the new and (not so) improved Winnie the Pooh is no longer the loveable bear everyone remembers.
According to the synopsis, Pooh and his pals are now 'feral and bloodthirsty'.

Pooh and Piglet terrorize Christopher Robin and a group of young women at a remote house in the Hundred Acre Woods.

They went into extreme starvation and ended up killing and eating everyone's favourite depressed donkey, Eeyore.
They grew resentment against anything human-related, including Christopher, and decided to 'return to their feral instincts'.
Oh, bother. Talk about a sticky situation.

It comes after one of the stars of the horror revealed the cast and crew have been receiving death threats.

Danielle, who's preparing to take the film on a global tour, said: “I thought it would get a bit of attention but never in the way it has. It’s been in every paper and magazine, all around the world.
“I thought it was a bit bonkers, I just didn’t expect anything like this at all. It is a bit mad, Winnie-the-Pooh running around killing people. We’ve had a lot of hate, I’m not going to lie. But the haters have definitely made it what it is because they’re all talking about it.
“The director and producer have had a lot of direct emails saying they should die, the worst stuff you can imagine. They say ‘It’s an abomination!’."
