Kelis and Bill have been "getting close"

Kelis and Bill Murray have left fans baffled as their alleged relationship is exposed.

The duo were said to be "getting close" and have "clearly hit it off" after attending a string of events together. They posed for a cosy-looking photo backstage at the Mighty Hoopla festival in London.

They were also spotted at jazz and soul festive Cross The Tracks and have reportedly been "getting close for a while" according to sources.

Insiders told The Sun: "They’ve met up in the States before which got people in the industry talking, and now are meeting up in London while they’re both here. They’ve clearly hit it off."

They added: "But they’ve also both shared relatively recent bereavements and have that common bond between them.

"Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap."

Their whopping 29-year age gap has left fans utterly shocked, with one jokingly stating that "Kelis dating Bill Murray definitely wasn’t on my 2023 bingo card."

Another commented: "I just want to know how Bill Murray and Kelis came to be, and out of all the boys brought by milkshakes - he was the one."

A third was in support of the new partnership: "Just learned about Bill Murray and Kelis’s new romance and I am here for it."

"Wow, age is just a number! Bill Murray and Kelis are proving that love knows no bounds. Wishing them all the happiness in the world," a fourth tweeted.

Meanwhile, neither Bill nor Kelis have confirmed or denied the rumours. The 43-year-old singer has instead shared a series of snaps from her current vacation, including a "sun-powered" selfie in a flawless bikini.

Relationship expert Sarah Louise Ryan has said that the pair seem to be "on the same page."

"Whether Bill and Kelis will last or stay as a fling is really down to the two individuals and their intentions for dating each other.

"If they connect and commit that will be because they have both communicated their wants, needs and desires and because they are on the same page for the future," she said.
