Australian TV presenter and boyfriend murdered as policeman arrested
Jesse Baird, 26, and his boyfriend Luke Davies, 29, have been confirmed dead by Australian police, with the serving officer charged with their murder now revealing the location of their remains.
Detectives led a frantic search on Wednesday 21st February to find the couple after their bloodied items were found in a bin near Sydney. Serving police officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, also known as Beau Lamarre, 28, was charged with two counts of murder on Friday after police found evidence a police firearm had been discharged at Baird's home in Paddington, Sydney.
A cartridge case and a large amount of blood were found at the address. Lamarre, Baird's ex-boyfriend, was previously a celebrity blogger and handed himself into Bondi police station on the morning of Friday 23rd February. He later appeared before a court and was refused bail, that same afternoon.
His case has been adjourned until April 23 with police citing the need to have time to prepare evidence. On Tuesday 27th February, a dramatic new update was announced as Lamarre-Condon finally agreed to help officers from his prison cell and informed detectives where they would find the Jesse and Luke's remains, 20 minutes away from where police initially searched on Monday.
At a press conference on Tuesday afternoon (Australian time), NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb confirmed Jesse and Luke's bodies had now been found and the families had been informed. She said: "Detectives attached to StrikeForce Ashfordby have located a second crime scene in Bungonia, which is a separate location to the scene that they had been searching yesterday and earlier. And at that location, we believe we have located two bodies. The families have been informed. We are very confident we have located Luke and Jesse."

New South Wales Police previously revealed a bullet matching Lamarre's work-issued gun was found at Baird's home. The senior constable's gun was later located in a safe at a police station, Det Supt Daniel Doherty told reporters.
"It's really important that we do locate the bodies, not only for the cause of death but for answers for the family... They are obviously devastated," Det Supt Doherty said. Det Supt Doherty did not identify a motive for the alleged crimes but said the police officer's relationship with Baird had ended "a couple of months ago", "so that's an obvious line of inquiry".
Baird had been a presenter and red carpet reporter on Network 10's morning show Studio 10 until the programme was axed in December, 2023. His boyfriend Mr Davies was a flight attendant for Qantas. There are several photos of the happy couple on their respective social medias which has been flooded with messages of condolences since their disappearance.
Police officer Lamarre joined the force in 2019 and worked previously as a celebrity blogger, meeting the likes of Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus. His encounters with huge stars were reported on by the Australian media, with one particular outlet asking if he was "Australia's biggest fan?" in a magazine spread.
Lamarre was named a person of interest in the case after the investigators learned that he once dated Baird. A previous police statement on the case read: "Following inquiries, detectives are looking at a line of inquiry that a third person may be able to assist with the investigation. Police are currently trying to locate him. Detectives will continue to look at all past relationships and associations."
