Amazon’s Prime Video is launching a brand-new docuseries following the wives and girlfriends of Premier League footballers. Launching later this month, Married to the Game will offer unprecedented access to the lives of the wives and girlfriends of renowned Premier League footballers during the summer break and the transfer window.

Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for the six-part observational documentary, which stars Arsenal’s Jorginho and his partner Cat Harding, Everton’s James Tarkowski and his wife Samantha, Nottingham Forest keeper Matt Turner his wife Ash and former Manchester City midfielder İlkay Gündoğan and his wife Sara. Married to the Game will premiere on Prime Video on Friday, February 23. It will be available to stream with an Amazon Prime subscription, which usually costs £8.99 a month or £95 a year and comes with a host of benefits like next day delivery, Amazon Music Prime, Deliveroo Plus and free delivery on HelloFresh orders for a year – while Prime Video alone can be joined for £5.99 a month.

But TV lovers can sign up today and access all these great benefits absolutely free thanks to Prime’s 30-day free trial. This means loads of great films and shows – including Saltburn, Donald Glover’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith series and Rylan reality show Hot Mess Summer – can be watched without paying a penny.

Married to the Game will offer rare behind-the-scenes access to the lives of the Premier League WAGs over the summer months, as one season ends and the new transfer window opens. The series will see its cast – who are confident and independent women in their own right – as they juggle their own careers and huge social media followings alongside supporting their partners’ all-consuming careers.

Featuring weddings, parties and international photoshoots, the WAGs’ lives may look super-glamorous from the outside, but strip away the glitz and these women are dealing with the same universal life challenges that affect everyone. Married to the Game will see the women dealing with issues from work/life balance and baby blues to relationship stresses and strains, all under a glaring media spotlight.
