Real Housewives star NeNe Leakes savagely calls show's current cast 'starless'
NeNe Leakes blasted the current Real Housewives line-up across all the US franchises, calling the Bravo cast "starless" and "not famous".
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alumni, who quit the reality programme before suing bosses for discrimination, didn't hold back in a recent interview.
Speaking on Tuesday's episode The Breakfast Club, the former telly star slammed "these girls on these shows", saying "they're just not stars".
"If you really look at it, all of the stars that were on any of these franchises, they took them off and everybody that is left is starless," NeNe said in her scathing statement.
"I’m not really a TV watcher. I don’t watch TV at all," she admitted, but did say she caught up on the reality TV world via clips shared across social media.

Continuing her shady speech, NeNe added: "They may be known, there’s a difference between famous and known.
"And so, I don’t know about famous but maybe they’re known for a minute."
Fans have since hit back at the former show star for her comments, with one saying: "Damn Nene sounds really condescending in this.
"She really went on and on about how Potomac housewives aren’t really famous but ‘known’. What a strange hill to die on lmao."
Another said: "Nene just sounds like a miserable person. Bringing other people down to make herself feel better."
NeNe was part of the Real Housewives of Atlanta's original line-up in 2008, she took a short break during seasons eight and nine before returning for seasons 10 to 12.
It was after leaving the show for good in 2020 that she sued Andy Cohen, Bravo, and the network’s parent company NBC Universal.
She claimed the show and its bosses tolerated a hostile and racist work environment.
Speaking of a potential return to the franchise one day, NeNe explained: "I have no plans to come back. I feel like that ship has sailed and I’ve grown in so many ways.
