Selena Gomez has Marilyn moment at Golden Globes as dress nearly flies up
Selena Gomez can add another award show moment to the list.
The Only Murders in the Building star walked the Golden Globes red carpet wearing a custom Giorgio Armani Privé red dress with black embroidered flowers and an asymmetrical hem.
But the pop songstress, 31, nearly suffered a major wardrobe malfunction, as she forcibly held her dress down in the wind, in a Marilyn Monroe-style moment.
Many people on X, formerly known as Twitter, could not help but say the actress looked "stunning" and had her own iconic moment. A fan wrote: "Selena is giving Marilyn Monroe." Another wrote in Spanish: "Selena Gomez giving Marilyn Monroe vibes on the Golden Globes red carpet. A DIVA."

Dr Phil's wildest moments ever from sexy vegan to pregnant with JesusSelena was also seen hugging her best friend, Taylor Swift, who was nominated for the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category at this year's award show.
Similarly to Selena, Taylor also had fans rushing to X in their droves herself during the award show when the host, Jo Koy, poked fun at the singer when he spoke about Sunday night's football double header. He joked: "The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL is that we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift." She didn't look impressed as she sipped on her glass of champagne.
Selena's Marilyn Monroe-style dress moment, which she styled out effortlessly, and Taylor's unimpressed look were just two of many iconic moments in Golden Globes' television history.
Last year, Jennifer Coolidge won her first Golden Globe for her performance on The White Lotus. Her acceptance speech made headlines as she was the girl who was never invited to thing but now, is. The speech went: "My neighbours are speaking to me and things like that. I was never invited to one party on my hill, and now everyone’s inviting me!"
Beyoncé was fashionably late to the 2019 Golden Globes after being nominated for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture for her work on The Lion King's Spirit. Fan believed the singer was going to miss the award show when they noticed her sneaking into the back of the venue when Kate McKinnon was introducing Ellen DeGeneres for the Carol Burnett Award.
