Rebekah Vardy claps back at Coleen Rooney's 'two-faced' claims with sassy post

Rebekah Vardy has clapped back at Coleen Rooney's 'two-faced' claims by posting a sassy message on Instagram.

Coleen's new docuseries, Coleen Rooney : The Real Wagatha Story, is available to stream today on Disney+ and gives the WAG's version of events surrounding the so-called Wagatha Christie trial in which the wife of Wayne Rooney, 37, accused Rebekah, 41, of leaking stories about her to the press.

Rebekah, who lost her libel case against the mum-of-four in May last year, is accused in the documentary of reaching out to Coleen shortly after a scandal about Wayne broke, but now the star – who denies selling stories about her fellow WAG – has had her say on social media.

Taking to Instagram, posting a photo of an idyllic-looking restaurant on the beach, shaded by palm trees, Rebekah captioned the snap: "And chill" with a glass of wine emoji. The wife of Leicester City's Jamie Vardy was papped in Heathrow yesterday before taking her family to sunnier climbs during the half-term holidays, while fans in the UK settle down to watch The Real Wagatha Story.

In the docuseries, which is split into three parts, Coleen says Rebekah reached out to her shortly after a scandal about Wayne broke – leaving Coleen to believe her former pal was being a rock. With tears in he eyes, Coleen admits: "Throughout that day I was getting messages saying are you ok? It was my private account so it was just people letting me know that they were there if I needed them. Rebekah got in touch. I thought it was a nice message. I thought she was just being caring and sympathising because she'd been in the public eye as well."

Rebekah is yet to comment officiallyon the tell-all series, but did take a cheeky swipe at Coleen in August – branding the Scouse star "boring" and "attention seeking". Rebekah's response came as Coleen'sBritish Vogue cover shoot and bombshell interviewhit the shelves.

After keeping pretty quiet about the Wagatha Christie saga for more than three years, Coleen branded Rebekah 'odd' in the Vogue interview and said her 'evil' texts read in court made her sick to her stomach. She said: "I feel like a lot of people still don’t understand what happened, from beginning to end. But what I said in that post, I still stick by today."

In October 2019, Coleen created pop culture history when she shared a bombshell statement online accusing Rebekah's social media accounts of leaking stories to the press – a claim Rebekah still denies. The post resulted in a High Court case after Rebekah took legal action – in one of the most high-profile cases in history – with the judge later ruling in Coleen's favour.
