Rebekah Vardy has been dealt a fresh blow after it emerged her prestigious role as a patron of Barnardo’s is under review.

The 41-year-old and her footballer husband Jamie, who have five kids, became the first family ambassadors for the children’s charity in 2018.

Its high-profile patrons include the Queen Consort Camilla and its president Natasha Kaplinsky.

But representatives for Rebekah, 41, have been told that her role may be scrapped – as the charity is reviewing its celebrity ambassadors programme.

A source said last night: “Becky is very passionate about her role as a Barnardo’s ambassador, and so it is very upsetting that she may not be able to continue once the review of the programme is complete.

“The charity informed her recently that it is reviewing its relationship with her, as well as other patrons.

“This was a real blow for her, as she loves her work with them and wants to continue. She is hoping she will still have a part to play.”

The news comes just three weeks after Rebekah got into another social media spat with a rival Wag.

She lashed out at Annie Kilner after her husband – England and Manchester City ace Kyle Walker, 32 – was filmed apparently flashing and kissing another woman in a bar.

During the row, dubbed Wag War Two, Rebekah posted “the gift that keeps on giving” and branded Annie, 30, a “doormat”.

Mum-of-three Annie is a friend of Coleen Rooney – who Rebekah sued for libel in last summer’s sensational “Wagatha Christie” trial.

The case at London’s High Court was the climax of a long-running feud during which Coleen turned detective to accuse her ex-pal of leaking false stories about her.

Since her humiliating court defeat, followed by a legal bill estimated to be £1.5million, Rebekah kept a relatively low profile until the latest spat.

The former glamour model, who found fame on I’m A Celebrity in 2017, is said to have been exploring a series of TV options.

Barnardo’s, which campaigns for online safety, said: “Whilst Rebekah is one of our ambassadors, we last worked together in 2019 when she helped us to raise awareness of children’s mental health.

“We have reached out to let her know that we are currently in the process of reviewing our ambassador programme.”

Becky, whose Leicester City striker hubby makes £140,000 a week, also works with charities Young Minds and Hope Against Cancer, and is a celebrity ambassador for Dorothy Goodman School in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
