Coleen Rooney has paid a beautiful tribute to her little sister Rosie, ten years after her tragic death.

The WAG's beloved sister died aged 14 back in 2013 after a lifelong battle with the rare brain disorder Rett syndrome - which causes severe disabilities.

Paying tribute to her late sister, Coleen took to Instagram on Thursday to remember Rosie with a gushing post.

Coleen, 36, treated her fans to a gorgeous black and white photo of herself and Rosie on a family holiday alongside her husband Wayne before her tragic death in 2013.

Alongside the snap, Coleen admitted that she couldn't quite believe that her beloved little sister had been gone for ten years.

The grivening star wrote: “10 years today……We all love and miss you Rosie Mc.”

Rosie was originally fostered by Coleen's parents, Tony and Colette, when she was two-years-old.

Coleen's parents knew that Rosie had some health issues, but it was only as she grew older that they realised her condition may be life-threatening.

Speaking about her late sister's Rett syndrome in an 2006 interview, Coleen explained: "When Rosie arrived she could crawl, and even though she couldn't use her hands that much she would handle toys on her play mat and she could eat," Coleen wrote in the Mail on Sunday in 2006.

"But over a period of time she stopped crawling and lost what use of her hands she had. Then she started having problems swallowing her food.

"It took pretty much a year for Rosie to be diagnosed and, looking back, I can see how much Mum pushed to find out what was wrong with her and to try to do what was best for her."

Back in 2021, she paid another poignant tribute to her little sister on the 8th anniversary of her death, and revealed she and husband Wayne cut short their holiday to fly back to the UK as Rosie was unwell.

“8 years since our Rosie got her angel wings and flew to heaven to dance and run free,” she began.

“My boys speak about you all the time Ro, wish they all could have met you. Love and miss you every day. So glad we ended our holiday short, due to her deteriorating & we was able to spend the last few days together with her and our family,” Coleen added.
