A young boy is crawling around and scaring his neighbours after whipping up a scarily-real Halloween costume from the M3GAN horror movie.

The wicked kid is seen in footage moving like the violent and chilling AI doll from the hit flick up and down his street as neighbours flee in terror. He even walks and crawls at speed on all hands and feet like the demented character. At one point he does the doll's trademark dance - swinging his hands and hips from side to side.

It is absolute nightmare fuel - and the inventive lad has form; he dressed up as killer clown Pennywise from the hit flick IT last year, and similarly sent shivers down the spines of his fellow folk in the community.

The lad, Tyson, was filmed by his mum Mya Cooper who says he scared his neighbours while dressed as the AI doll from the 2022 horror film. Tyson even acts like M3GAN, crawling on all fours as the doll does in the film. The movie is based on an eight-year-old Cady who is sent to live with her aunt Gemma, a roboticist at the high-tech Seattle toy company Funki. Gemma uses the company's resources to develop M3GAN, a child-size robot doll powered by AI designed to be a life-like companion.

“My son is 10 years old and is a huge horror fan and he loves to scare the neighbour’s kids,” Mya said. She explained that Tyson dressed up as Pennywise last year and wanted to step out of his comfort zone with his costume to surprise people this spooky season.

“He chose M3GAN because he knew the neighbourhood kids would not expect it to be him,” she said. The prank was filmed in Auburndale, Florida. The freaky footage comes after people were previously dressing up as creepy Pennywise from Stephen King's IT to scare off trick-or-treating children. Police forces across the US were receiving hundreds of calls from concerned residents at the height of the clown's popularity in 2016.

The craze even spread into schools as pupils were coming in with weapons dressed as clowns, and this was largely driven by social media. Dr Adam Lynes, a criminology lecturer, admitted an ordinary person could put on a clown mask and behave in a way they would not dream of if their faces were not disguised. Dr Lynes said: "The very act of hiding one’s face is also very powerful, potentially leading these individuals to act in a way they normally would not when their faces are visible.

"Social media coverage of similar cases in America could be a catalyst for some of these 'copycat clowns' here in the UK. It also important to note that it is nearly Halloween, which could be another reason as to why we are seeing a rise in such incidents." The phobia of clown serial killers was behind the terrifying craze sweeping the nation.

There was also a Ronald McDonald 'killer' clown who was seen peering into the windows to terrify customers as they ate their food in the UK, which also spread across to the US. Wearing a yellow and red costume with a curly red wig, the clown also had a white face, big red lips, and eerie black eyes, the clown was frightening residents. It forced the fast-food chain to limit the 'real' appearances of Ronald McDonald for a temporary period in 2016.

"McDonald's and franchisees in the local markets are mindful of the current climate around clown sightings in communities and as such are being thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald's participation in community events for the time being," the company told CNBC.
