Samsung beware, Motorola is back with an impossibly cheap new Android phone

Has the launch of the iPhone got you excited for a new smartphone, but you can't quite fork out the cash? Well, Motorola has come to save the day yet again by launching a new range of cracking budget smartphones.

They've just launched the Motorola Edge 40 Neo as well as the new Moto G84 and Moto G54, each with a 50MP camera sensor, quirky colours and a tactile vegan leather finish all for less than £300.

The Edge 40 Neo is one of Motorola's higher-end budget Android phones and comes with high-grade underwater protection, meaning you can take it swimming or drop it in the toilet and it should come out in one piece. It's got a lightning-fast 120Hz Full HD display, a 50MP Ultra Pixel camera sensor which rivals the iPhone's 48MP sensor as well as a massive battery with fast charging. It even has sleek curved edges which look and feel just like a higher-end Samsung phone.

You can pick them up for £299.99 from today, which is almost two-thirds as cheap as a Galaxy S23.

If that's still too steep a price then Motorola's G range has once again stepped up to the plate, delivering some really great performance and features for those on a budget. The g84 5G costs £249.99, with a similar camera kit to the pricier Edge 40 Neo as well as a fast refresh rate and snazzy 6.5" pOLED screen. It also comes with a pretty nifty Snapdragon processor making it good for games and streaming. Meanwhile, the g54 5G delivers a lot of the same features in a smaller package for just £179.99, which is an absolute bargain.

Motorola is currently selling its new handsets on its official website, with the phones being available in mid-September (which is right about now).
