Selena Gomez's shady reaction to Chris Brown at VMAs has people in stitches
Selena Gomez has gone viral after fans noticed her hilarious reaction to Chris Brown's name being called out a nominee for Best R&B during the 2023 VMAs's.
The Only Murders In The Building Star went viral on social media after she was caught sneering at the artist's nomination for his song "How Does It Feel,” on which he collaborated with Chlöe Bailey. But The Moon Man award ultimately went to SZA for “Shirt", helping to avoid any more awkward encounters on social media.
The Single Soon songstress, 31, stunned on the red carpet as she wore a halter-neck red Oscar de la Renta gown with a floral pattern and fringe, that she paired with red heels.
Gomez is nominated for three awards at the event, including Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Afrobeats for her song 'Calm Down' with Rema.

Fans were left in stitches at her reaction, with one viewer tweeting: "SHE'S SO REAL FOR THIS I LOVE HER."
Another said: "She just came to make shady faces."

But it seems she might not have meant to snub the singer - in 2015, she reportedly told Capital FM she was a big fan of the US star.

"I am such a huge fan of his and it was actually after the album where we ended up kind of like talking about music. So, not to say there isn’t opportunity for it, but honestly I love his music, I think he’s so incredible and I’m a big fan of hip hop and all that, so I’m a huge fan."

In an interview with Audacy’s V-103 podcast, the singer hit out at the negative reaction, saying it should be about the music.
"I always just wanna let the music speak for itself,” Bailey said. "And to be honest, no matter what I do, people always find things to say about it, so I’m used to it. I just choose to ignore it. People have every right to their opinions, freedom of speech, and it’s up to me to choose what I give my attention and energy to.”

Speaking on Oprah Winfrey’s Supersoul Coversations podcast in 2012, Rihanna said: "We've been working on our friendship again. Now we're very very close friends."
She went on: "We've built up a trust again, and that's - we love each other and we probably always will. And that's not something we're ever going to change. That's not something you can shut off, if you've ever been in love.
"I think he was the love of my life. He was the first love. And I see that he loved me the same way... it's not even about us being together. I truly love him. So the main thing for me is that he's at peace. I'm not at peace if he's a little unhappy, or he's still lonely."
