Brooklyn Beckham has appeared to congratulate his younger brother Romeo, after he posted images on social media to mark him joining Brentford Football Club on loan.

The footballer, 20, plays as a forward for Inter Miami II, but will be at Brentford B team until the end of the season.

Taking to Instagram, Romeo uploaded three images to his feed to celebrate his new signing.

In the main image of the post, Romeo could be seen stood with his dad, David Beckham, in front of the Brentford Football Club Robert Rowan Performance Centre.

The pair held up a Brentford shirt together for the camera.

In the second picture, the footballer could be seen training on the field, and the third was a headshot of Romeo smiling in the changing rooms.

Romeo captioned the picture: “An exciting start to the year (plane emoji) Looking forward to the challenge” and tagged the location Brentford Football Club.

Among those that commented, Brooklyn wrote: “Well done lil bro xx”.

It’s a change from recent events, as Brooklyn, 23, was recently chastised by his fans for reportedly “snubbing” his parents.

The media personality spent New Year’s Eve with his wife, Nicola Peltz, 27, in Los Cabos, Mexico. The pair were joined by pal Selena Gomez, 30.

The rest of the Beckham clan celebrated back in the UK, however David Beckham sent his son a sweet message when it came to ringing in 2023.

The former footballer uploaded an image to Instagram of himself with the rest of the family.

He wrote with a stream of red love hearts: "Happy New Year from the BECKHAM’s we love you @brooklynpeltzbeckham we miss you. 2023."

Meanwhile, Brooklyn didn’t reference his parents in his New Year’s Eve post.

One person commented the post, saying: “You should remember your family too. Your dad always put that they love you and miss you, you can love your wife, but you can give the respect and place to your family.”
