My Mum Your Dad fans in tears over emotional Monique's heartbreaking confession

My Mum, Your Dad fans were left in tears on Tuesday as Monique emotionally opened up to host Davina McCall after getting overwhelmed at the retreat.

During the latest episode, the subject of marriage got brought up to the single parents to which an upset Monique immediately got up and walked away into the kitchen. Host Davina, 55, was quick to follow Monique as she comforted the crying contestant. Opening up, Monique said: "All these people are so lovely and they're all on their own, and that's me. Then it's like: 'Will you ever get married? Will you ever meet someone?'"

Her daughter, Talya, who is with the other contestants' children in a second secret villa monitoring their parents, said while watching the emotional moment: "She has been cheated on... like multiple times by previous partners and I think it did trigger something in her." Back at the main villa, Davina then hugged Monique, saying: "Hey, hey, hey!"

To which Monique continued: "I've never had that, you know, when you're just in love and you just want to love someone because you're a nice person, you're not a bad person. You're never good enough, you're never good enough to stick around for... and my dad said it... he said it before he died, whatever you do in this lifetime, find love" with Davina replying: "But you're a long way away from the end of your life. You're going to get there Monique, you're gorgeous."

Viewers were left in tears as they took to Twitter, now X, to share their thoughts. One person said: "I loved this, so real. Monique" with a heart, a different account put: "Monique is so real #MyMumYourDad", another follower wrote: "Poor Monique #MyMumYourDad" with a heartbroken emoji while a different fan added: "Will there be an episode where I’m not sat here in floods of tears? #MyMumYourDad."

Other fans were quick to praise Davina with one person writing: "@ThisisDavina #MyMumYourDad I’m loving this show. It’s a great format, and Davina is perfect for compassionate towards the guests", a different account put: "Davina is such a lovely person #mymumyourdad" while another account added: "I just adore Davina on reality shows like these - she’s so invested and supportive to the contestants and it’s so lovely to see, she truly wants to see them get the best out of this and i love it, you’re smashing it @ThisisDavina #MyMumYourDad."
