Francine Lewis first wowed the British public with her incredible impressions while auditioning for Britain's Got Talent in 2013.

Since then, she has continued to impress fans as she continued to pursue her dream as an impressionist.

But, when she first stepped onto the BGT stage, it must have been hard for her to imagine that her future career would earn her a job in artificial intelligence... well sort of.

Francine, 47, stars alongside a string of comedians and impressionists including Katia Kvinge, Al Foran and Aurie Styla in a new ITV show Deep Fake Neighbour Wars.

The programme uses the very latest AI Deep Fake technology which swaps the face of the impressionists with the visages of global superstars including Stormzy, Adele and Nicki Minaj.

Francine plays Kim Kardashian as a bus driver in the programme, and spilled to the Mirror about the exciting new project – and revealed one "hilarious" moment which saw her freeze due to nerves.

Lifting the lid on filming the show, Francine said: "It was really funny because it was the hottest week.

"It was in August, we had the heatwave and it was absolutely boiling. And I had to be in this horrendous bus driver's outfit and it was boiling, and I just remember sweat was literally pouring and the poor makeup artist had to keep coming.

"Then there was a scene where I had to splash in the paddling pool – I was so nervous to just climb a few steps and actually go down the slide into this paddling pool.

"They found it hilarious that I was so excited to do it but, when it came to it, I froze because I was actually scared to just go down the slide into this paddling pool!"

She added: "Everyone found that quite funny that I was so b***dy scared."

While Francine is a huge fan of the show herself, she warned that some viewers might find the programme "freaky".

She said: "I honestly think this could be a hit show – I really, really do.

"Because it's not just funny – the script is excellent – but to see these characters in these situations for instance, Idris Elba and Kim Kardashian living in a shared property where she's a bus driver from Catford, it's really, really different.

"And it's funny and it's kind of like freaky at the same time," Francine explained. "I think for some people just turning over if they've never heard of the show or read about it and they've just missed the beginning of it (because we've got disclaimer at the beginning) I think they're gonna be pretty freaked out and think, 'Oh, my goodness, is that real? Is that really them?'"

Deep Fake Neighbour Wars is a new comedy impressions show available on ITVX.
