Joe Jonas is 'wary' but has 'nothing to hide' amid divorce rumours, says expert

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner could be "headed for divorce" after four years of marriage and welcoming two children together, it has been reported.

34-year-old Joe is reportedly "on the cusp" of filing from divorce from the Game of Thrones actress, 27. Sources alleged to TMZ that the young couple have been experiencing "serious problems" for the last six months.

The couple have been pictured out and about together in recent times at various events, including a Jonas Brothers gig, seemingly still very much the happy couple. But Joe has also been pictured without his wedding ring in recent times, including a post he shared of himself enjoying Labour Day weekend with his brothers, Nick and Joe.

He was also snapped without his wedding ring on a coffee run in New York City a few weeks ago. Joe, who donned a black t-shirt and shorts, which he paired with a black baseball cap and trainers for the outing, was seen looking downcast.

Speaking to The Mirror exclusively about the pictures of Joe, Body Language expert Judi James claimed that Joe's appearance was noticeably different from what we're used to seeing.

She explained: "Joe looks low-key but relatively relaxed here, which is a big shift from the music star ‘statement’ poses and red carpet styling he’s often seen adopting and wearing with Sophie. His eye expression looks slightly wary but the corners of his mouth appear slightly curled up in the hint of a smile, rather than the kind of scowl he might adopt if he’s trying to hide from the press."

Judi continued: "His glasses are only slightly tinted and his cap isn’t pulled over his eyes so, again, there’s not suggestion of hiding away here."

Joe and Sophie, who are regarded as one of Hollywood's power couples, first began dating in 2016 after mutual friends attempted to set them up, before Joe slid into Sophie's DMs.

Opening up about how they first got together, Sophie previously shared: "We had a lot of mutual friends, and they'd been trying to introduce us for a long time. We were following each other on Instagram and he direct-messaged me one fine day, out of the blue."

The duo then confirmed that they were officially dating in December 2016, ahead of going Instagram official in January 2017. Joe and Sophie got married in 2019, and then later welcomed two children together. Baby Willa was born in July 2020 and since then, Sophie and Joe have welcomed another unnamed child, born in July last year.
