Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas' split signs from missing rings to Instagram snub
As reports rage that Sophie Turner’s marriage to Joe Jonas is on the rocks, clues that the couple have been in trouble have been hiding in plain sight for months.
The 27-year-old Game of Thrones actress and the 34-year-old Jonas Brother singer have been married since 2019 and share two daughters together. Their first bundle of joy arrived in 2020 and is named Willa, while their second daughter arrived last year, and the name of the girl has been thus far been kept a secret.
Sophie and Joe first started dating in 2016, became engaged in October 2017, and married on 1 May 2019, in Las Vegas. They held a second, lavish wedding, in Paris on 29 June that same year.
And while many fans look to Sophie and Joe as a rare example of a successful and loved up Hollywood couple, it seems this may be an illusion. On Sunday, TMZ reported that the couple are heading for splitsville.

Joe last shared a blurry photo of Sophie on 1 July (Instagram)The outlet reported: “Joe had his people contact and consult with at least 2 L.A.-area divorce lawyers and he is on the cusp of filing divorce docs to end his marriage to Sophie.”

Social media may reveal that the couple have been distant as Joe has not featured any photos of Sophie since 1 July. He shared a collection of snaps along with a caption reading “June bloom” - however Sophie featured in just one of the 10 images, buried in a blurry third image seemingly at a wedding reception.

Joe shared a string of photos from his birthday celebration where he was joined by close loved ones including 30-year-old brother Nick, their parents, and his 41-year-old sister-in-law Priyanka Chopra.
Fans noticed Sophie was not at the party at the time, with many asking in the comments section of photos he shared on Instagram to write: “Where is Sophie?”
Sophie herself marked Joe’s birthday by posting a string of photos of herself with him. The British actress shared snaps of herself kissing her husband on the hand while walking alongside him in a dazzling green mini dress.

His most recent post marked the American bank holiday weekend and showed him relaxing beside an open outdoor fire alongside Nick and Kevin. He wrote a caption alongside the image reading: “Happy Labor Day weekend everyone. This tour has be incredible so far! Having a little family time in the Texas sunset tonight before a big Austin show tomorrow.”
And TMZ has reported the singer has not been wearing his wedding ring “for weeks” suggesting the marriage really is over. When the Mirror contacted a representative for Sophie they refused to confirm or deny that the marriage was over.
The spokesperson instead stated: “We do not comment on our clients personal lives.”
