Holly Willoughby admits to Midsomer Murders filming blunder ahead of cameo
Holly Willoughby admitted she made a hilarious Midsomer Murders filming blunder ahead of her cameo this Sunday night.
The presenter, 42, made a surprise This Morning return on Friday weeks early amid her annual summer break, where she has spent time in Portugal. However, the return wasn't exactly what fans were expecting as Holly made her comeback in a teaser video for her cameo on Midsomer Murders, which airs on Sunday.
The episode was actually filmed two years ago, with the mum-of-three previously speaking about her cameo in 2021. In a pre-recorded video, Holly shared a first look of her debut with a special behind-the-scenes glimpse on Friday's This Morning.
The BTS video saw Holly get ready in hair and make-up, where she looked over her scripts, before heading straight onto set to shoot her scenes. However, Holly admitted she made a filming blunder after not realising she had an extra scene.
The presenter confessed: "So, I've just shot my first scene, and total transparency, it was a scene I hadn't actually noticed that was in my script because I was so focused on the three lines that I had later. I didn't realise I had to say 'excuse me', so when I walked in and everybody was running their lines. I was like: 'Where is this, in here?' Thankfully, it was only shots of the back of my head! So, so far, so good!"

When a body is found surrounded by ritual symbols on the eve of the gathering, Barnaby must step into a world of self-proclaimed witches to find the killer. Crime drama, starring Neil Dudgeon, with Tracy-Ann Oberman and Colin Salmon."
Holly had been left speechless in March 2021 as she was surprised live on This Morning with the news she had landed a guest role on the detective drama. Midsomer Murders stars Neil Dudgeon and Nick Hendrix were the ones to ask the presenter to guest star in an upcoming episode.
"Yes! Of course, I say yes. I have seen every single episode since it started way back when. Are you serious?" Holly exclaimed, immediately accepting the offer. She went on to joke about her acting abilities, quipping: "I mean you are going to have to kill me off really quickly because I am terrible at acting. I don't know what I am going to do."
