Two men found dead in Glasgow flat as police launch major investigation
Two men have been found dead in Glasgow’s west end – sparking a major police investigation.
Cops have taped off part of Chancellor Street, close to the junction with Byres Road, as they probe the double death incident.

The force confirmed the two man, aged 50 and 54, were found with fatal injuries at a flat in the residential street near the Partick area.
The alarm was raised after they were discovered around 4.40pm on Sunday and they both died at the scene.
Detectives leading the investigation said their deaths are currently being treated as “unexplained”.
A post-mortem is set to be carried out to determine the cause as officers step up their enquiries.
Police confirmed that the families of both men have been informed of their deaths.
Images taken on Monday morning show a number of officers standing guard around the scene.
Forensics specialists in white suits have been seen removing bags of evidence from the property where the two men were found.
A large police cordon has been put in place in the area, which sits just yards from one of the city’s busiest streets – Byres Road – and is close to a number of local shops and popular bars and takeaway spots.
Detective Chief Inspector Jen McCulloch said: “Our thoughts remain with the families of the two men who have died, and they are being supported at this difficult time.
“We understand this will be concerning for the local community but please be assured we are working hard to establish the full circumstances of what has happened.
“Officers will remain in the area while our investigation continues and anyone with any concerns, or information, can approach them.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1386 of Sunday, 16 August, 2026.
