Prince Harry is said to be gearing up to "capitalise on the Royal Family's absence" as he prepares to head on a trip around the world.

The Duke of Sussex, who stepped down from royal duties in 2020 alongside his wife Meghan Markle, will soon embark on a public trail while the Royal Family holiday in Scotland. Each summer the Royals tend to escape to their country homes to enjoy some seclusion and down time, with Harry eyeing up their limelight.

Harry - who today appeared in a new video with his wife - will be heading on tour this month, with him due to visit Tokyo before heading off to Singapore and then Germany. His first stop will be on August 9 for a sport summit based around community and philanthropy, while his Singapore trip will see him attend Sentebale's ISPS Handa Polo Cup match.

Then in September, the Prince will reportedly jet back to Europe for the Invictus games in Dusseldorf, Germany. The Express report that Harry could then make a stop off in London for the WellChild awards, a cause close to his heart and one he has been involved with for many years.

Earlier this year the Duke even urged people to nominate deserving and inspiring people for a WellChild award, with him speaking out at the time and saying: "For the past 15 years that I’ve been Patron, I’ve been immensely grateful for the work that WellChild does and moved by the stories I hear and the people I meet."

He later added: "Each year, I so look forward to meeting with the Award Winners, and spreading awareness about this incredible charity. I hope this year you’ll join me and get involved," which hints at his potential appearance at the ceremony next month.

Express reports that Royal expert and writer Daniela Elser has spoken about how Harry will use the Royals' absence - as they holiday in the UK - to his advantage, with her saying: "Brand Sussex about to be everywhere and Team Crown largely absent from the picture. Or, in other words, we are about to see a lot of Harry, everywhere, all at once."

This comes after we reported that Harry might be missing his family and the summers he used to enjoy in the UK before moving to America with his wife in 2020. Now residing in Montecito, California, Harry lives in a sprawling mansion with Meghan, their son Archie, and their daughter Lilibet.

And while Harry jets around the world on a busy tour, his brother Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have been spending some time at their Norfolk home, Amner Hall, with their three children George, Charlotte and Louis. While other members of the Royal Family plan to spend time in Balmoral, Scotland where they will likely hunt, ride horses and fish.

Speaking to Closer Magazine, Royal author and expert Katie Nicholl has provided an insight into how Harry might be feeling this summer. She told the outlet: "I think Harry must miss his family more than ever, and not coming back to the UK for the summer." She added that the Duke had always loved spending summer in England, with him said to have hoped that "his children would have a special relationship with their cousins" in the same way he did with Princess Beatrice and Eugenie.
