Catherine Tate takes aim at Netflix as her show is axed 'without warning'
Catherine Tate has taken a poke at Netflix and said it "would have been nice" of them to tell her they were shelving her show.
Premiering in April last year, prison comedy Hard Cell followed the lives of inmates and staff at HMP Woldsley.
Catherine, 53, plays a number characters during the six episodes in the show, which also starred former EastEnders favourite Cheryl Fergison.
It seemed to be well-received by viewers, but it seems the streaming giants weren't convinced as they haven't renewed the programme for another season.
After one series the programme has been cut, and Brit comedian Catherine has hit back at that decision after she wasn't told the news by the streaming giant and had to find out through the grapevine.

Catherine Tate wasn't happy with how she found out the cancellation news (Netflix)She says she "kind of understands" why Netflix made the call but says it would been better if they picked up the phone and told her.
Hearing from someone else's agent was not nice, she said - as the comedian slammed the decision makers.
"They had a change of staff and, as happens when someone who has commissioned the show and then leaves, often they want to start afresh," she told the BBC Two Breakfast Show.
"I kind of understand but it would’ve been nice for them to have told me."
The star told BBC Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball previously about how she found out her show had been given the axe.
"Do you know Netflix never actually told me (about the decision not to carry on)? So I've never actually had the call to say... nothing.
"Isn't it just rude? I heard from someone else's agent. That was nice," she said.
The actress spoke about the programme last year after striking a deal with Netflix and said she loved working with them.
Catherine explained: "The process is kind of completely the same, only my stuff [in The Catherine Tate Show] was all shot in front of a studio audience and obviously this isn't. And so what I don't have is the direct connection with the audience straight there."
She then said: "I have to say, working with Netflix creatively was a fantastic experience.

"From a script point of view they were fairly hands-off, but when the notes came they were really insightful and moved the project forward."
