The Happy Valley finale is nearly upon us, and fans can’t wait for the explosive showdown between Catherine Cawood and the twisted Tommy Lee Royce - but do you think it will finish on a happy ending?
BBC have released a nail-biting trailer teasing the 70-minute episode, which builds tension as the cat-and-mouse game between the rivals reaches its conclusion.
The captivating series first hit our screens in 2014 and it has now been confirmed that series three will be the last ever - with no plans for a series four.

It doesn't look likely as series one included the brutal murder of police officer Kirsten McAskill at the hands of ultimate thug Tommy.

Fans also saw a violent showdown between Catherine and Tommy, the man who raped and impregnated her daughter Becky, who then committed suicide after giving birth to her son Ryan.
The second series ended with Catherine's colleague, detective John Wadsworth, who was driven to murder and ended up throwing himself off a bridge.
Meanwhile, series three has gripped viewers so far as Tommy is hoping to get away with murder and start a new life in Spain following his dramatic escape from the courtroom; Ryan is slipping through Catherine's fingers and Clare Cawood (Siobhan Finneran) was delivered a crushing blow from her heartbroken sister.
The finale is expected to go out on a bang, as creator Sally Wainwright said: "In season 3, there’s a very big face-to-face showdown. The kind of cathartic showdown that people have waited for. It’s pretty dramatic."

Fans can’t wait for the explosive showdown between Catherine Cawood and the Tommy Lee Royce (BBC)The official synopsis for the final episode teases that "scores are settled for good on Catherine’s final shift" and that "Ryan faces a moral dilemma", but otherwise we have little information about just how things will play out.
There have been a number of fan theories floating around social media - including predictions that Catherine could die before the credits roll.
While others are convinced Ann Gallagher is going to get her revenge on Tommy after she was held captive and tortured by him in season one.
