Leonardo DiCaprio takes drastic measure to lose 'under 25' jokes about love life
Leonardo DiCaprio is reportedly "not pleased" with ongoing jokes that he exclusively dates women under the age of 25 – and he is said to want a "mature relationship".
The Hollywood actor, 48, apparently wants to "ditch" the idea that he only goes for young models and is thought to be focussing on finding "real" romance.
Titanic star Leo has never publicly dated someone over the age of 25 and has famously ended things with women shortly they turned the mysterious age.
He split from Camila Morrone just weeks after her birthday milestone and was later seen with several models, including Victoria Lamas, 25, and most recently Eden Polani, 19.
Now an insider close to the actor says he is looking for something similar to that of his two-year romance with Camila – someone he was reportedly 'ready to marry'.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tour"Leo is very single right now and he is not keen on the hype suggesting that he is seeking out these very young women," a source told MailOnline.
He is reportedly "looking for something more mature in the relationship department".
The insider explained that Leo "cannot go anywhere" without being "linked to the youngest beautiful woman there".
"He wants to ditch this image once and for all and he is really bothered that this continues to follow him," they explained. "Leo wants something like he had with Camila, something real."
The Mirror has contacted Leo's representatives for a comment.
It comes amid his rumoured romance with Eden who is 29 years his junior. The link has come under fire from fans – including popular radio presenter Megyn Kelly.
Megyn claimed Leo will never find someone "who he can fall in deep love with".
She said: "He is now dating a teenager, literally a teenager. He's in the news every week for how he won't date anybody past age 25. If he does, it makes news.
"And now he's actually gone down to a teenager. She could literally be his daughter," she said during her SiriusXM podcast The Megyn Kelly Show.
She added: "I feel like this guy from the rate of things is never going to know the joy of meeting somebody who he can fall in deep love with and build a family with."
