UFC star Paddy Pimblett married his childhood sweetheart Laura Gregory last weekend in a wedding which he boasted was "out of this world".

Pimblett, 28, is now a married man as he tied the knot with long-term partner Gregory in a ceremony attended by the likes of fellow UFC star Molly McCann and singer Jamie Webster. Pimblett and Gregory have been together since teenagers and 'The Baddy' proposed to his partner whilst on holiday in Thailand three years ago.

In McCann's brief video of the wedding, Pimblett and Gregory can be seen walking down the aisle together before having a slow dance to 'I'm Yours' by Jason Mraz. McCann wrote of the occasion: "Finally got their happy ever after. Congrats Patrick and Laura the wedding was out of this world! So much love for both families, Brilliant day with brilliant people. And the toffees [Everton FC] stayed up!"

Pimblett hasn't fought since his controversial win against Jared Gordon at UFC 282 last December, with the outcome being labelled by some as "one of the worst UFC decisions ever". The Scouser injured his ankle in the first round of the fight and had to go undergo surgery in March, with his injury likely sidelining him for the rest of the year.

'The Baddy' has been called out by several top-ranked lightweights during his time on the sidelines, such as Matt Frevola and Drew Dober. Pimblett accepted Frevola's challenge as he thinks a fight against the American offers him the "easiest" route into the 155lb rankings. McCann gave a recent update about Pimblett's injury last week as she said: "I feel like he had his cast off last week."

"He's not been in the MMA gym too much because it's quite a far drive to get in but he's coming to strength and conditioning. He's just hungry, obviously the performance wasn't what he wanted it to be. He wants to just prove who he is. He had a sore foot going into it but none of us realised how bad the injury was that he sustained in the fight until after it."

"He's had like full ankle reconstruction of his ligaments, so that's heavy. I'm going to his wedding this Sunday and I think after that it's only a couple more weeks until he can weight bare and start his comeback. You can imagine when you win and people don't give you respect, or there is a big scrutiny on the fight. Paddy lives to silence people so he just wants to shut them up. I believe you'll see a different animal in him because he'll have more mouths to close."
