The View fans aghast as Whoopi Goldberg ends show early in awkward blunder
The View fans were left in a state of shock when esteemed host and beloved actress Whoopi Goldberg abruptly ended the vibrant live talk show early.
Experiencing a huge blunder, Whoopi, 67, left fans and ABC viewers aghast when she ended the show around six minutes early.
Giving the outro to viewers a little earlier than planned, after she said the monologue into the lens, cameras cut back over to the other hosts, creating a very awkward moment for viewers at home.
The episode airing on May 9 saw Whoopi and the regular panel of co-hosts celebrate Teachers Appreciation Week.
Each host even expressed how they believed that teachers should get paid more.

Chatting about teachers and how they deserve more recognition, appreciation and money, the discussion went on for more than 15 minutes, with the hosts even awarding the teacher of 40 years a lavish cruise.
But despite the segment about teachers going on for some time, Whoopi ended the show early, which left viewers in a state of confusion.
Following giving the teacher a gift in the shape of a holiday, confusion ensued when Whoopi spoke to someone backstage.
"Is that the real one?" she asked to someone who wasn't in view of the camera.
Whoopi then proceeded to give the closing monologue of the show, with her saying: "Thanks everyone for coming. Thanks for watching."
"We'll see you tomorrow. Have a great day, everybody. Take a little time to enjoy the View."
The camera then panned from Whoopi and the teacher and instead showed the rest of the show's host.
Shown in a wide-shot with the audience and then close-up very quickly, five minutes of commercials then played which left viewers baffled.
Taking to Twitter to note how the show had ended early, one fan penned: "Whoopi ended the show about 5 minutes too early."

The View is an American talk show which was created more than two decades ago in 1997 by iconic journalist Barbara Walters.
With it on its 26th season, the long-running daytime show has been a hit with fans for almost 26 years.
The View has garnered 31 Daytime Emmy Awards as well as nominations for three People's Choice Awards, three GLAAD Media Awards, and a Critics' Choice Television Award.
