Coleen Rooney has shared a rare picture of herself and her mum as the pair enjoyed a trip out to the theatre.

Coleen, 37, and mum Colette watched Sheridan Smith in play Shirley Valentine at Duke of York's Theatre in London, with Coleen seeing the production twice in one week.

Just a short walk away, a play about Coleen and Rebekah Vardy's recent Wagatha Christie trial is being staged at Ambassadors Theatre, but the star chose instead to see Shirley Valentine, which focuses on a Liverpudlian housewife.

The mum-of-four shared a selfie with her parent on her public Instagram account, with the pair grinning for the camera outside the theatre.

The wife of ex England footballer Wayne captioned the photo: Twice in a week, back with my mum. Amazing show @shirleyonstage @sheridansmithster."

The Teacher star Sheridan replied in the comments section: "Ahh I didn’t know you’d be in, thank you!!"

Family is very important to Coleen, and last year the star wished her mum happy birthday as her high court defamation trial with fellow WAG Rebekah, which Coleen eventually won, rumbled on.

Sharing a sweet black and white snap of the two of the drinking cocktails at a restaurant, Coleen wrote: “Happy birthday to an extremely special person, My Mum.

“Have the best time celebrating, I love you so much and appreciate everything you do for me and us all."

Coleen is clearly making sure to spend quality time with her nearest and dearest. And it was recently reported she and Wayne plan to renew their wedding vows, having been inspired by Peter and Abbey Crouch.

Coleen and Wayne are said to be "in a really happy place right now", as the former Manchester United striker works overseas in America while Coleen remains in the UK with their young sons.

“After everything they’ve been through, Coleen and Wayne plan to go all out for their 15th wedding anniversary. For them, it’ll mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another – hopefully less drama-filled – stage of their lives," a source said.

“They’re planning a beautiful vow renewal, possibly in Barbados, with their closest friends and family. It’s their happy place and they want a quiet, understated, but romantic ceremony," reports OK! magazine.

Coleen stood by her husband's side amid his public cheating and boozing scandals over the years - breaking her silence on his infidelity and sharing how it "wasn't acceptable" in Wayne's documentary last year.

But the pair are in a good place these days and are allegedly looking to renew their wedding vows alongside their four sons.
