BBC Comic Relief viewers believe there will be Ofcom complaints about a joke Naga Munchetty read out during the show.

The annual telethon returned to our screens on Friday evening and viewers witnessed broadcasters read out cringy jokes from a card.

During the segment, Naga, Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid and Krishnan Guru-Murthy were given cards to read from.

At one point, Piers read out: "The other day I bought a thesaurus but when I got home and opened it all the pages were blank...I have no words to describe how angry I am."

BBC Breakfast star Naga got involved and told a classic joke.

"Oop a kind of swear word before 9pm, Ofcom is gonna have a field day with complaints lmao," one user joked.

Another loved the joke and said: " "Naga not getting the shih tzu joke," while adding several laughing face emojis.
