'I visited the biggest Poundland in the UK - the clothes reminded me of Primark'
Two bargain hunters have revealed all from their visit to the UK's biggest Poundland - where they were pleasantly surprised to see that many items were indeed still a pound. Brothers Kevin and Kieran D'Arcy were impressed by the size of the "huge" store, which contains a sizeable frozen food aisle plus a clothing area that reminded them of Primark and George at Asda.
The 18,380 ft bargain behemoth first opened its doors in Glasgow, Scotland earlier this month, and is so enormous, shoppers can pick up trolleys at the door for their big shops. This isn't your average local Poundland.

The clothing department put them in mind of George at Asda (@foodthirst__/TikTok)Kevin and Kieran recently shared their outing via TikTok, where they go by the joint username @foodthirst_, and revealed how they'd spotted a variety of cups, plates, photo frames, and DIY tools for just £1, despite price hikes.
They also came across an Easter egg aisle packed with tempting chocolates, plus a large freezer section that took them by surprise.
Adding that the freezers also contained a number of £1 items, the brothers told viewers: "Don't get me wrong, I love bargain shopping, I love Home Bargains, but I can't imagine doing a weekly shop in Poundland."

They claimed: "I've noticed that they actually have the same tags as Primark so I'm assuming it's the same supplier."
Kevin and Kieran had gone to the store in the hopes of picking up some sweets, and on this front, it really didn't disappoint, with footage showing shelves practically groaning with discount goodies. However, they did find a £1.50 mini packet of gum to be a bit of a "rip off".
They concluded: '"For you bargain hunters out there, the UK's biggest Poundland is definitely worth the visit."
Many of their followers are now keen to pay a visit for themselves, with one person applauding: "I have been in it, it is so good."
Another approved: "It's actually quite sad that I've been looking forward to a day off work today to go here."
Regarding the clothing tags, a Poundland spokesperson rejected the claim that the company uses the same suppliers as Primark. They told the Mirror: "Not quite sure what [he] means. All our clothing carries our own tags bearing our Pep brand.
"All our clothing is designed exclusively for us by our own fashion teams. He's right that they're really good value though. We're very proud of how we're growing our clothing and homeware ranges in stores like Glasgow Crown Street."
