Artificial Intelligence is on the rise and new uses of the emerging technology are being found day by day, sparking fears that tech could be taking our jobs.

Some believe there's nothing to fear, others say it could lead to the end of humanity, while others are just amused as it is used to rewrite classic TV shows.

ChatGPT has been writing university essays for students, and some newspaper groups are even using it to write newspaper articles, but now it's accomplished a truly astonishing feat.

Puzzle lover Daniel Tait asked ChatGPT to recommend games similar to sudoku that don't exist yet, so it invented its own version called Sumplete - and now you can play it for free online.

Daniel guided the chatbot with specific questions and revisions to complete Sumplete, which is similar to sudoku but has slightly different rules.

Players are given grids with numbers on, and the size varies depending on difficulty - with 3x3 being the easiest and 9x9 being the hardest.

Explaining the creation on the Sumplete website, Daniel wrote: "I'm not joking - after a few hours of prompting, the AI chatbot had created this unique puzzle game. ChatGPT not only came up with the idea, but also coded the game, designed it and even named it!

"I first asked ChatGPT for some recommendations for a new puzzle game to play if I enjoyed playing sudoku.

"(It gave) a solid list of results, but I was already familiar with all these puzzles. I wondered if ChatGPT could actually invent its own puzzle for me?

"On the fourth attempt, it came up with this 'Sum Delete puzzle' which I liked the look of."

Daniel then worked with ChatGPT to refine the game and design a pleasing layout, and then a fully playable version of the game was ready.

ChatGPT is the conversational AI language model created by OpenAI, a startup based in San Francisco which was co-founded by billionaire and Twitter CEO Elon Musk.

Ask it a question, or give it a prompt on its website and you will get a human-like written response. ChatGPT can be used as a tool to chat with, and is able to generate text, translate language, answer questions, and analyse sentiment.

The system is trained on huge amounts of text data from the internet which allows it to write like a human might.

It also improves itself with positive or negative feedback from users. It is important to note that the chatbot is only trained on data up until 2021, and steers clear of opinion, thoughts, and personal experiences.

The accuracy of the content depends on the quality and specificity of the prompt given to the model, so the more you feed it, the more you get out of it.
