Floyd Mayweather has compared his fight with Aaron Chalmers with a "16-minute heist" after earning another lucrative purse.

Boxing legend Mayweather retired from the professional ranks in 2017 with a perfect record of 50 wins with no defeats, but he has continued to compete in exhibition contests. Mayweather has come up against the likes of YouTube stars Logan Paul, Deji and former sparring partner Don Moore.

His latest exhibition landed in the UK where he went the eight-round distance with Geordie Shore star Chalmers at London's O2 arena. The event proved unpopular with fans who stayed away from the fight, with the arena half empty during the night's headline attraction.

However the former five-weight champion has turned a blind eye to critics and made a fresh boast about his earnings. He posted on Instagram : "Sitting back with no bumps, bruises, scars, or head trauma from that 16-minute heist with no mask in London. The green print is to constantly make money and stack money. Get yourself a business and stay out of other people’s business. Stay in your lane."

Mayweather has continued to earn lucrative purses for his fights although it is uncertain how much he pocketed for his latest showcase. The boxing legend looked comfortable in the ring once again and showboated for fans even doing a 360-degree spin during an exchange with the reality TV boxer.

The 46-year-old maintained a huge pay-per-view draw throughout his career, with the top two best-selling combat sports pay-per-views held for his fights with Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor. However, Mayweather recently claimed he is still in a position to earn a mammoth $300million a month from all of his assets including his exhibition fights.

It remains unclear if he will continue on the exhibition circuit, but he has since been heavily linked with another potential money-spinning clash with former UFC star Jose Aldo. However he revealed he believes he has broken his hand following the clash, and expects to now be out of action for a short while.

He said: “Everybody’s going. Everybody’s going, I’m having fun. We razzle, we dazzle. I hurt my hand actually. [It was] when I was breaking with the hook. A lot of people don’t know. “When I was breaking with the hook I hurt my left hand, bad. It could be broke. We’re not worried. I’m still able to use the left.

“This guy is tough as nails, I came over to the UK to entertain the people. We had fun for eight rounds and I’m glad that I came. What he has to do is work hard and believe in his skills, because he’s got a good chin and he’s a tough competitor.”
