A Death In Paradise star could soon be making their way to Shipton Abbott to work with the Beyond Paradise team.

Fans were devastated during the latest episode of Death In Paradise when DI Neville Parker (Ralf Little) said he wanted to travel and leave Saint Marie for good. It has sparked furore on social media as fans have been left concerned about whether Ralf will be leaving the series, and if he does, who will replace him and will Florence's return make him want to stay?

With Death In Paradise's latest series due to finish in a couple of weeks, its spin off show Beyond Paradise is back on our screens, which will see DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) tackle a string of cases in the UK.

Ahead of the new series, Zahra Ahmadi - who plays DI Esther Williams in the BBC spin off - has revealed which member of the Death In Paradise cast she'd love to see join them in Shipton Abbott.

Asked who she would choose to be in the new series, she said: "Shantol Jackson, I met her recently in Amsterdam and she’s an absolute riot, she’s feisty and I really respected her. I think she plays such a great character as Naomi in Death in Paradise, so I think it would be brilliant for there to do a crossover and for her to come and see how we do things in Shipton Abbott. Her and Esther are kindred spirits and I think they’d get on really well. Esther might take her to the pub and let her temporarily be part of the darts team!"

Ralf Little has yet to address the speculation about a potential exit from Death In Paradise, but he did previously say that he "wasn't sure" about his future on the show. He said: "I don't know. I have no idea, I'm not gonna swerve answering the question. I don't know. I don't know which direction they're gonna go in. I have honestly no idea and they haven't told me. Maybe they had no idea yet. I, like the rest of you, are going to be just sitting and asking, 'Who's next? Who knows? No idea. But we'll see what happens."

*Death In Paradise returns this Sunday at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer and the new series of Beyond Paradise airs on BBC One and iPlayer from Friday 22nd March 2024.
