Donald Trump looked “exhausted” at the UFC fight and is not his usual self after a period of rallies and c‌ourt date, according to a body language expert.

Taking his daughter Ivanka with him, Trump went from a addressing his supporters in Rome, Georgia, straight to at UFC 299 on Saturday night, serenaded by the Kid Rock anthem and applauded by the audience.

Yet, body language expert Judi James said despite his “heavyweight presence” at the Bantamweight fight, the former president appeared to “skip the opportunity to power-posture here” even though he was met with a powerful response from the crowd.

‌James said that overall the former president’s body language suggests “feelings of exhaustion” which she said could be attributed to a period of campaigning for the Republican presidential race. James said this is given away by his face looking “drawn” with “his neck appears to jut forward slightly” as he walked through the tunnel in the venue.

“There are signals from Trump’s body language that suggest feelings of exhaustion during this flat-out period of electioneering and court cases,” James exclusively told The Mirror.

Equally he seemed to have resigned from his commitment to an “alpha male” persona at the UFC fight. James said “his shoulders are more slumped than his usual alpha chest-splay presentation and his arms hang to the front of his torso.”

When Trump was met with a singing crowd applauding his presence, as is custom at many a UFC fight, he did not use the opportunity to “showboat” and in fact James said he decided on toning this down. ‌

James said “As he reaches the auditorium his brows pucker in a frown and his eyes dart while his mouth falls open. He seems to decide to tone down the showboating here, clapping the audience and throwing some upward victory punches with a closed-lip smile.”

The presidential candidate was seen with a slew of celebrities and public supporters of his over the evening. These included former ESPN host Sage Steele who has gained popularity among Trump supporters by criticising trans athletes. Trump was joined by UFC founder, Dana White.

James said “Trump does seem to revert to his usual, dominant form as he greets the celebrities and names around his seat.” She added that he “looks comfortable and in charge with the wide variety of handshakes and greeting rituals, kissing Ivanka on the cheek and patting her ribs fondly.”

James said that he even performed his signature domineering ‘“hake and yank” “power shake” which sees him using a handshake to pull people closer to him to chat.
