Victoria Beckham praised her husband David for consistently showing his support for her since forging a career as a fashion designer as she completed another showcase of her designs.

Following the launch of her Autumn/Winter collection, the mother of four took to social media to extend her gratitude to her family for supporting her throughout the highs and lows of her career.

Posting a picture of herself on David's back while holding a bottle of champagne, the 49 year old star wrote: "Always supporting me (literally) I love you so much @davidbeckham x Kisses x #VBAW24. " Dressed in all black, Victoria teamed her look with a matching medical boot to help support her recent foot injury.

But this did little to deter her from taking to the catwalk herself for her post-show walk while using the aid of crutches. On entering the catwalk, she was seen looking up and blowing a kiss to someone in the audience as she mouthed the words "thank you."

However her Paris show was thrown into chaos after protesters from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals group, better known as PETA, stormed the catwalk. Joining the models on stage, the protesters wore t-shirts that read "Animals aren't fabric" and also held up signs that read "Viva vegan leather".

PETA demonstrators are against the cruelty towards animals and the use of their skin for fashion purposes. Victoria's fashion brand does not use fur or other exotic skins in its designs but PETA claims that some garments include leather.

The group's European president Mimi Bekhechi said: "No garment or accessory is worth violently slaughtering and skinning a sensitive and intelligent animal. We are urging Victoria Beckham to turn instead to the ethical and eco-friendly innovations available today, such as high-end leather made from apples, grapes, pineapples, mushrooms and more."

But this is not the first time members of the group made headlines with their disruptive demonstrations. Last month David posted a message on Instagram revealing that Victoria had hurt her foot at the gym, which meant she was forced to wear a medical boot.

David wrote:"Apparently my wife's little accident in the gym was a clean break. This was posted alongside "a doctor and Feel Better" Snoopy GIF. This comes after Victoria revealed that she had fallen over while exercising at the gym. Sharing with fans a picture of her foot with an ice pack on it, she wrote: "Happy Valentine's Day to me..."

And in an attempt to poke fun at his wife David responded: "How big's your toe? WOW. I NEVER NOTICED THAT BEFORE."Forever the fashionista, Victoria was not going to let her medical boot ruin her look. Shortly after her accident, she was seen out and about with her boot which she teamed with a single £890 Alaïa pump as she dined in Notting Hill.

But this is not her first time using crutches. In 2018 she revealed that she had suffered a "small stress fracture." Thanking fans for their messages of support, she penned: "Thank you for all the lovely messages. A small stress fracture, just needs some rest! #itsnotideal."
