Dancing On Ice fans were left questioning a comment made by judge Jayne Torvill during the latest episode of the ITV series.

As Ryan Thomas stumbled twice during his routine, fans of the Coronation Street favourite were "gutted" for him. But others were a bit confused when judge Jayne appeared to comment on his show future, leaving many asking if she "knew something they didn't".

The remaining contestants Amber Davies, Greg Rutherford, Roxy Shahidi, Ryan, Ricky Norwood, Miles Nazaire, Lou Sanders, Eddie “the Eagle” Edwards and Adele Roberts took on Musicals Week, performing to stay on the show. Show presenters Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern were on hand as ever to bring viewers the latest episode.

Each contestant and their pro skating partner would once again face the judges Oti Mabuse, Christopher Dean and Jayne and guest judge Johnny Weir, hoping to impress them and the viewers enough to survive another week. But as Ryan stumbled on the ice twice, with his skate toe pick blamed for the falls, something Jayne told him in her feedback left some viewers confused. Jayne had seemingly told Ryan at the end of her commentary: "Good luck for next week."

Taking to X, viewers questioned the comment unsure how she would know he would be on the series next weekend. Of course she was likely advising him in case he did get another shot the following week, and it was more a comment for if he made it through.

But some fans were not sure about this, with one writing: "Does Jayne Torvill know something we don't? Her words to Ryan, 'good luck for next week'. You wouldn't word it that way if Ryan was automatically included?" Another said: "Jayne saying 'good luck for next week' to Ryan. Does she know something we don’t."

It comes after Lou Sanders and Claire Sweeney found themselves in the dreaded skate-off last weekend. Unfortunately, it was Claire and her pro skating partner Colin Grafton who were sent home.

Speaking about her time on the show, she admitted she had been in serious pain today but with thanks to the physio, she had managed to push through and was glad her son was there to watch her perform.

Meanwhile, the week prior saw Hannah Spearritt booted out of the competition, and in an appearance on This Morning just a few days after, she admitted she suffered a secret scare just a few hours before she went on the ice. She explained: "I'm glad I'm out of it in one piece, do you know what I mean?

"I can watch it next Sunday on the couch. It was amazing to learn that skill. Yes it is completely dangerous. Anything can go wrong. I had something go wrong three hours before. It wasn't anything major but it just reminds you anything can go wrong at any time. It's just a lot to think about with every move, to make sure it goes right."

Hannah also opened up about her autoimmune condition and how it affected her training, adding: "It had a massive impact at the start, especially. I felt like I've only really come into my own in the last couple of weeks.

"I've been solid and feeling good every day. There was a lot of ups and downs but the last two weeks have been solid. I feel like I was about to get going, but I'm grateful to be able to exercise every day."

Before Hannah's exit, viewers saw former boxer Ricky Hatton revealed as the first star to leave the show. Asked about his exit from the ITV series after just one performance, Ricky confessed he was "gutted" and praised his skating partner for her hard work.

He was pleased with how far he had come along on the show in just a week, after adding new features to his routine which the judges applauded. He said: "I'm gutted to be going home yeah, I've tried to be a winner all my life in everything I've done. It's been a while since I saw the second round. I think I will carry on skating.

"I may be out in the first round but I had a great time, and I met some wonderful friends. I'd like to thank Robin for all her hard work and the coaches." He added that he'd be going home "happy".
