Logan Paul can't resist dig at Floyd Mayweather after latest WWE victory
Logan Paul took a dig at former opponent and boxing legend Floyd Mayweather after retaining his WWE title at the Royal Rumble.
The social media sensation took on Kevin Owens in Florida last month and defended his United States Championship. Owens was disqualified for using 'brass knuckles' and whilst appearing on SmackDown last weekend, Paul mocked Mayweather for doing less damage in their boxing fight than Owens did in the wrestling ring.
"Kevin Owens did more damage to Logan Paul than Floyd Mayweather," he said. "I’m unbreakable, unreplicable, one of one, the beast from the east, the best in the west. I am your United States champion, Logan Paul."
The YouTube boxer faced Mayweather in an un-scored exhibition fight back in June 2021 and the fight sold over one-million pay-per-view buys.

Logan Paul and KSI announce new partnership with UFC president Dana WhiteNo winner was declared after eight rounds but official punch stats show that Mayweather out-landed Paul despite throwing half the amount of punches. Mayweather has since been involved in a handful of other exhibition fights against MMA fighters, kickboxers and other social media influencers.
Paul didn't fight for over two years after his glorified sparring match with Mayweather but returned to the ring last October against Conor McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis. Paul won by disqualification in the final round after Danis attempted to choke him unconscious, leading to a mass brawl unfolding in the ring.
Paul made his first WWE appearance just weeks before going the distance with Mayweather. The American signed a multi-event contract with the organisation a year on from the fight and boxing is not on Paul's radar since winning his fight against Danis and becoming a breakout star in the wrestling world.
"I think I’m retired from boxing. I’ve done enough going fully undefeated at 25-0. I’m going to be a wrestler now. No more money in boxing, every company is going broke. Full-time wrestler. Beat Rey Mysterio. Fair and square for the US Championship. It feels great. It was a dominant performance. Some frog splashes, some punches, it feels good," he told Fox Business.
