Logan Paul told Dana White has "entertained" idea of YouTuber fighting in UFC
UFC announcer Bruce Buffer has suggested Dana White entertained the idea of Logan Paul competing in the cage.
Paul has competed in the boxing ring where he has touched gloves with sporting legend Floyd Mayweather, and has also signed a long-term deal with the WWE which has seen him fight at both Wrestlemania and Royal Rumble. Alongside his brother Jake the YouTube star is planning a takeover of combat sports, and has spoken of his admiration of the UFC and his desire to step in the octagon.
While hosting UFC president White on his podcast, the UFC kingpin insisted that he would never rule out the possibility of Paul making an appearance in the promotion. And announcer Buffer has insisted the door is unlikely to close despite White's negative relationship with Paul's brother Jake.
"[If you want to fight in the UFC] you've got to go to the powers of be,' Buffer advised Paul during an interview on the influencer's Impaulsive podcast. "I thought Dana [White] entertained the fact. Whatever his relationship with your brother [Jake Paul] is but when it comes to you, he has entertained the fact that you could fight in the UFC."
Paul's relationship with the UFC has already increased a level this month after he signed a deal with the promotion for his energy drink Prime to become an official partner. The YouTube star was pictured inking the contract with the UFC president in an office, and he is expected to be cageside at this weekend's huge UFC 284 clash between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski.
Logan Paul and KSI announce new partnership with UFC president Dana WhiteThe 27-year-old is yet to win a fight as a professional boxer having drawn and lost to YouTube rival KSI prior to his fight with Mayweather. However he is expected to also eye a return in the boxing ring, with his former foe expected to host his next outing on his Misfits Boxing series.

Paul has suggested that he would be open to competing in MMA via the UFC alongside any boxing exploits, particularly given his background in wrestling could hand him a small advantage. And the popular influencer has already chosen his potential opposition in the shape of rising star Pimblett.
"I have found out who I would like to fight if I did a UFC match. Paddy the Baddy (Pimblett)," Paul told the MMA Hour. "They say he is the next Conor McGregor right, he is super charismatic and entertaining as hell. He is on the come-up and young like me and has a real loud mouth. I think I might have him on my podcast and say to him straight up 'I would like to fight you in the UFC'.
"He could get up to 185lbs and I could get down to 185lbs for a UFC match. But now I am looking at it and if I do a UFC fight then I have to do it with someone else who can sell tickets. He is young and entertaining so I think the fans will eat that s*** up."
