Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke has opened up about the horrifying moment his baby son was rushed to intensive care after he stopped breathing.

The 36-year-old reality star has twins, son Apollo Magnus Obi and daughter Cosima Emily Bex, via a surrogate, with his husband Gareth and he has recalled the terror when the premature baby was taken by ambulance after being found unresponsive. Speaking to Boots presents Taboo Talk, Ollie was emotional as he shared the details of the traumatic few hours in the young life of his son.

Ollie told the podcast: "We got a phonecall at 4.30am after he was born was to say he wasn't doing very well. He was rushed from Durham to Sunderland blue-lit because he wasn't breathing. It was one of those moments in life that you never want, you never want to have that phone call. That was one of the hardest moments of my life."

It is now more than six months since those frightening moments and Ollie spoke about how his son's personality has developed and how he has coped with the health battle he faced at the beginning of his young life. Seeing the funny side, Ollie said: "He's a stubborn little b*****. He's always been like that - from day one, from that moment - he's always been the laziest boy in the world."

Ollie continued: "So when he got to Sunderland, the tube was put down into his throat and into his lungs and he looked and thought 'no thank you very much'. He ripped it out and started to breathe normally. He's a real pain in the a***. I love him but, she's really chilled and he's really hard work."

The good news is that Apollo made a full recovery from the difficult beginning to life that he faced and Ollie has spoken honestly about becoming a father on the podcast. Alongside his husband Gareth, Ollie also quit Made In Chelsea so that he could share his baby journey in his own reality show, which is on his own YouTube channel, called Daddy Diaries.

Ollie has also detailed the sleepless nights he has endured since the arrival of the twins, telling OK!: "They are the best thing to ever happen to us. We have got some help [with a nanny]. It has helped us an awful lot because it turns out having twins is a lot!

"There's no maternity and paternity with work, so we've had to have a bit of help. We are exhausted, but it's wonderful. We have both waited such a long time and we were lucky to get two. The sleepless nights have been interesting! I will openly say about two weeks ago I was holding Cosima and I was crying relentlessly. I have never loved anything yet hated it so much that is the reality of parenting. It is not easy, but it's just heaven."
