Tragedy as 13-month-old boy dies after the stolen car he was in crashed
A 13-month boy was killed in a stolen car in Milwaukee last week after it crashed shortly after the theft.
Zarion Robinson was sat in the back of his mother’s Pontiac G6 in a car seat around 11.30pm on January 27, when an unnamed 31-year-old woman stole it as his mum went into their house to get something.
She had quickly rushed in and left Zarion in the car, but left the doors unlocked. And it was while she was inside their home that a woman seized the opportunity to steal the motor and drive off.
At the wheel of the Pontiac, she then collided with a Dodge Caravan minivan – whose occupants fled the scene – just a few minutes later, a couple of miles away.

Baby boy has spent his life in hospital as doctors are 'scared' to discharge himParamedics arrived and took the boy and woman to hospital, but Zarion died from his injuries around two hours later at around 1.10am, says the medical examiner’s report.
The woman remains hospitalised after suffering injuries in the crash. She has been arrested, but has not been formally charged.
According to the report, paramedics found Zarion awake and crying and still partly strapped into his car seat, which had overturned and was facing down on the back seat’s floor.
The report also suggests the woman who stole the car could have been speeding in what was a 30mph zone in the 35th and Hope area of the city.
Neighbours of the family were shocked by the tragic accident with Andre Williams, manager of the nearby Bug’s Life Learning Center saying: “It’s very tragic. They’re so innocent and sweet.
“I couldn’t imagine having to bury my child at all, especially a baby.”
Owner of Bug’s Life Learning Center Katherine Poston told TMJ4 News: “It’s just scary because as we try to protect the babies and children in our care every day, we find out a baby died in a horrible crash right outside our doors.
“We load and unload the children in and out of cars here every morning and evening. It’s just heartbreaking."
Another neighbour Lois Carter added: “It’s been out of control for a long time. The speeding, the reckless driving, the shooting, all that’s been out of control.”
Milwaukee Police continue to search for the people from the Dodge Caravan minivan who fled the accident.
